Alice Paul Hall is one of Swarthmore's newest residence halls, opening in 2004 and named for Swarthmore alumna and suffragist Alice Stokes Paul (Class of 1905). The building sits at the foot of campus near the SEPTA train station, housing students from all four class years in singles, doubles, and triples — including six distinctive loft-style rooms with two-story windows on the upper floors. Alice Paul shares a courtyard with the adjacent David Kemp Hall, where residents gather for BBQs, and its large main lounge frequently hosts campus events. The green roof is one of the college's sustainability features, absorbing rainwater and supporting local wildlife.
