Woolman Hall is a small, tight-knit upperclass community housing approximately 22 students in mostly single rooms north of Parrish Hall, a short walk from the Science Center. Named in the Quaker tradition for abolitionist John Woolman, the building has hardwood floors throughout, large windows in most rooms, and a cozy communal lounge with a piano, fireplace, and computer station. A shared kitchen and laundry facility round out the amenities. Because of its small size, Woolman consistently generates some of the strongest community bonds of any Swarthmore residence, and students who live there often describe it as a hidden gem compared to the larger, more visible halls.
