Tennessee State University is a public historically Black university (HBCU) and the only land-grant institution in Nashville, founded in 1912. Serving approximately 7,500 students on its 450-acre Centennial Campus in Nashville, TSU is known for its programs in health sciences, engineering, agriculture, business, and the arts.
