Pinnacle Hall is the newest cadet residence at the United States Air Force Academy, opened in 2008 to house additional cadet squadrons. Unlike the older Vandenberg and Sijan corridor-style barracks, Pinnacle Hall was designed with a more modern approach, providing suite-style rooms where small groups of cadets share a semi-private bathroom. The building is located adjacent to the main Cadet Area and features study areas, laundry facilities, and squadron common spaces. Assignment is by squadron in the same manner as the older barracks. Pinnacle Hall is named to reflect the Academy motto and the mountainous Front Range setting of the Colorado Springs campus.
