Blount Hall is the University of Alabama's dedicated first-year Honors College residence, named after William Blount, a former UA Board of Trustees member. The corridor-style building houses first-year Blount Scholars in singles and doubles on traditional hall-style floors, with shared lounge spaces, seminar rooms, and quiet-study areas built into the residential experience. Faculty members, Honors staff, and a dedicated Residence Director work directly within the community. Blount Hall operates as both a residence and an academic hub — weekly Honors seminars, interdisciplinary programming, and informal faculty dinners take place inside the building.
