Mesa Court is UC Irvine's first-year residence-hall community on Mesa Road — in UCI Housing's words "a first-year housing community with twenty-nine classic halls and four mid-rise towers", approximately 3,400 residents (mostly first- and second-year students) with a live-in Resident Advisor in every hall. The classic halls (2,044 spaces; 55–90 beds per hall) are single-gender suites of six rooms sharing a bathroom, each hall with its own kitchen, living room and laundry room and many with study rooms. The four towers — the three six-story Mesa Court Towers opened in 2016 and the five-story Oso Tower opened in fall 2025 — hold 1,440 spaces (338–424 beds per tower) on mixed-gender floors where room pairs share a bathroom, with study space on every floor and a great room with kitchen. No air conditioning in either type. Community facilities: The Anteatery dining commons, Zot N Go Express, The Court 24-hour study pavilion, the mailroom (in Caballo hall), fitness and recreation centers, classroom space, volleyball and basketball courts. Most communities are mixed-gender; all-female and gender-inclusive (Open House) options are available. Mesa Court Housing Office: 4053 Mesa Road, Irvine, CA 92697-3925.
