About Cowell College
The first UCSC college, founded 1965. Theme: Justice & Ethics. Seven residence hall buildings arranged in Upper and Lower Quads of 3–4 stories each, designed in homage to English collegiate architecture. Overlooking Monterey Bay. Rooms include singles, triples, and quads (346 sq ft with balcony). Continuing students live in 7 apartment buildings. All-gender communal bathrooms with private locking stalls.
