[Hyde Park — Main Quad] Snell-Hitchcock Hall is the oldest residence at UChicago — Snell Hall opened 1893 and Hitchcock Hall in 1902. Located right on the main quad. Two connected houses (Snell House and Hitchcock House) with strong individual identities. Mostly singles and small doubles in a corridor layout. All-gender bathrooms; shared kitchens. No central AC; the building's historic character is its main appeal.
