About Wood Scholarship Hall

Wood Scholarship Hall is one of the unique cooperative scholarship halls at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. Scholarship hall residents live in a close-knit community of roughly 25–50 students, sharing responsibilities such as meal preparation and building maintenance in exchange for significantly reduced housing costs. Wood features single and double rooms, a shared kitchen, communal dining area, study lounges, laundry facilities, and a community atmosphere that alumni consistently describe as one of the most distinctive parts of their KU experience. The scholarship hall model is a long-standing KU tradition and a strong draw for students seeking an affordable, community-oriented alternative to conventional residence halls.
