Sandpiper Bay is UNCW's apartment-style residential community for upperclass and graduate students, named in the tradition of Wilmington's coastal wildlife. The complex offers furnished apartment units with full kitchens, private bedrooms, and outdoor patios or balconies. Sandpiper Bay provides the most independent on-campus living experience at UNCW and is extremely popular, with a competitive application process each year. The units' quality and the proximity to Wrightsville Beach make it a top housing choice.
