Phelan Hall is one of the older and more characterful residence halls at USF, named for former San Francisco Mayor James D. Phelan. It offers corridor-style rooms with communal bathrooms and is located centrally on the Lone Mountain campus near the main library. Phelan has a rich history on campus and is popular with students who appreciate the classic college hall experience in an urban San Francisco setting.
