Bates East is a traditional corridor-style residence hall at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Situated adjacent to Bates West on the east side of the historic Horseshoe, the hall houses primarily first-year students in double-occupancy rooms with communal bathrooms on each floor. Amenities include in-building laundry, study lounges, and active community programming from residential life staff. Its prime location at the heart of the original USC campus makes it one of the most centrally situated and sought-after residence halls for incoming Gamecock students.
