Bates East is a traditional corridor-style residence hall at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Situated adjacent to Bates West on the east side of the historic Horseshoe, the hall houses primarily first-year students in double-occupancy rooms with communal bathrooms on each floor. Amenities include in-building laundry, study lounges, and active community programming from residential life staff.
