The Barrymore Hotel Tampa Riverwalk serves as UT's off-campus overflow residence, a four-block walk from the main campus at 111 W. Fortune St. on the scenic Tampa Riverwalk. UT students live on designated secure floors with RAs — separate from the hotel's regular guests. Each student room has two queen-sized beds (shared between two UT students), private en-suite bathroom, desk, TV with HBO, and hotel-standard finishes. Full hotel amenities are available to UT students: heated pool, fitness room, free twice-weekly housekeeping, free on-site parking, and a free twice-daily campus shuttle (about 10 minutes). The Riverwalk runs right outside the door, offering easy access to the Tampa Performing Arts Center, Armature Works, and downtown dining. While the commute is a short shuttle ride, Barrymore students often cite the hotel amenities — especially the pool and private bathrooms — as a significant upgrade over standard dorm life. Students in Barrymore must select the 12-meal/week plan or higher.
