About Gibbons House

Gibbons House is one of the University of Virginia's Alderman Road Residence Halls, at 425 Tree House Drive in Charlottesville. UVA dedicated the building in honor of William and Isabella Gibbons, a formerly enslaved couple whose story is documented by the President's Commission on Slavery and the University, and the building also houses UVA's Student Housing Division office.
