McTyeire Hall is part of Vanderbilt's Kissam Quadrangle residential area, a corridor-style building with communal bathrooms and central air conditioning. Named for Holland Nimmons McTyeire, the first Bishop assigned to Vanderbilt and a key figure in the university's founding. McTyeire and the other Kissam Quad buildings form a residential cluster for upperclassmen on the east end of Vanderbilt's campus.
