Whitworth House (originally called Kimm House) is a mid-nineteenth-century Victorian mansion on the periphery of W&J's campus, acquired by the college in 1997. The building houses approximately 25 upperclass women in a residential setting that feels more like a historic home than a conventional dormitory. Like Wade House, Whitworth offers character-rich common spaces created by the Victorian architecture, varied room sizes, and a semi-private bathroom arrangement that provides more privacy than most corridor halls. The house-style living of Whitworth appeals to students who want a smaller, more independent residential experience while remaining within the W&J residential system.
