About Nicolson Hall

Nicolson (buildings 5, 6, and 7) are part of Wesleyan's Foss Hill residential college system — a cluster of corridor-style buildings overlooking the iconic Foss Hill, a central gathering spot for the Wesleyan community. Nicolson houses a mix of first-year and upperclass students in doubles (first-year) and singles (upperclass). The buildings are walk-ups with no elevator and no AC — quintessential Wesleyan "old New England" residential character. All-gender bathrooms are available on most floors (one All Men's floor exists). The view of Foss Hill from upper windows is spectacular, especially in fall. The community kitchen, study lounges, and performance space in the Nicolson cluster make it one of Wesleyan's most beloved residential communities.
