Western New England University is a private university in Springfield, Massachusetts. Founded in 1919 as the Springfield division of Northeastern College, it became Western New England College and was renamed a university on July 1, 2011. Its 215-acre suburban campus offers programs across Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, Law, Pharmacy, and Occupational Therapy, and requires most first-year and sophomore students to live on campus.
