Shocker Hall is Wichita State University's flagship residence hall and the largest on-campus residential building, housing approximately 784 students in suite-style rooms. Opened in 2012, the complex includes two towers connected by a shared amenity floor with study rooms, social lounges, fitness equipment, and a recreation area. Suite configurations group two double rooms around a shared bathroom, giving residents more privacy than a traditional corridor hall while maintaining a strong floor community. Shocker Hall is the hub of WSU's Learning Community program, housing all eight of WSU's themed LLCs on designated floors — covering engineering, business, health professions, education, the arts, honors, and other academic areas. Shocker Dining Hall is located adjacent to Shocker Hall and is the primary residential dining facility on campus.
