About Parker Hall

Parker Hall, built in 1857 and designed by Gridley J. F. Bryant, is the oldest dormitory on the Bates campus and one of its largest, housing nearly 160 students. Named for Judge Thomas Parker of Farmington who contributed to its construction, the hall has undergone several renovations including new flooring, bottle-filling station installation, and full room-furniture replacement. Its central location and size make it a hub of first-year social life.
