About Usen Castle

[The Castle] Usen Castle is the iconic stone-and-mortar residence at the heart of Brandeis identity, originally built in 1928 by the previous owner of the campus (Middlesex University). The building was partially demolished in 2017 and the remaining wing was renovated; it currently houses upperclass students in a mix of singles and small doubles. Distinctive architecture and history make it one of the most-talked-about (and most-photographed) buildings at Brandeis.
