One of the larger program houses on Wriston Quadrangle (built 1950–1952), Machado House has a distinctive interior courtyard and is known for its spacious common areas. Part of Brown's program, theme, and affinity housing. Standard Brown furnishings in all rooms; towel bars on interior room doors. The Sharpe Refectory ("the Ratty") is adjacent to the quad.
