McDonnell Hall is a first-year residence hall consisting of two four-story wings connected by corridors to a two-story center unit. The center unit houses the famous "Ski Lounge" — a vaulted-ceiling common space with wooden beams, game tables, comfortable couches, and a large flat-screen TV that serves as a social anchor for the building. Each floor is divided into two neighborhoods, each containing one single room and nine double rooms arranged around a smaller lounge. Ground-floor laundry is available for all residents. Two elevators, one per wing, serve residents who need accessible access.
