The Cadet Housing Complex is Cal Maritime's primary residential facility, housing cadets in the regimented style traditional to maritime academies. Most students are required to live on campus as part of the cadet experience. Rooms are utilitarian and organized by regiment, with shared bathrooms, mess hall dining, and round-the-clock operations reflecting the military-style training environment. The complex sits alongside the Carquinez Strait with views of the waterway where many future officers will sail.
