Bunche-Williams Hall is a special-interest program house at Colgate University, named in honor of two distinguished individuals whose legacies intersect with themes of justice, community, and scholarship. The hall serves as a multicultural residential community — a space where students from diverse backgrounds, and students committed to diversity and inclusion, can build a shared living experience grounded in mutual respect and engagement. Corridor-style layout, communal bathrooms, and in-building laundry serve residents. Bunche-Williams lacks central air conditioning, in line with other corridor buildings of its era. Beyond the physical space, the hall functions as a community hub with programming, speakers, and events that extend Colgate's commitment to diversity and inclusion into the residential life sphere. Students apply or self-select for Bunche-Williams in Colgate's housing process.
