Newsom Hall is a traditional corridor-style first-year residence hall in CSU's South residential neighborhood. Like the other South halls, Newsom is served by dining facilities in the Aggie Village complex. The building features standard double-occupancy rooms with communal bathrooms on each floor, common study rooms, and social programming from Resident Advisors throughout the academic year. The South neighborhood tends to attract students interested in CSU's pre-veterinary, agriculture, and natural resources programs due to its proximity to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and the College of Agricultural Sciences buildings.
