West Hall is one of Harvey Mudd's main dormitories, housing a mix of first-year and upperclass students. Like all Mudd dorms, West has a strong culture of collaborative learning — late-night problem sets are a constant, and the community bonds that form while struggling through Mudd's notoriously difficult core curriculum are deep and lasting. West is known for an active, social dorm culture and houses some of Mudd's most legendary "frosh advisors" (equivalent to RAs). Students here tend to form very close study-group bonds.
