Tritton Hall is Haverford's newest first-year residence hall, built in 2012. Unlike Barclay and Gummere, Tritton houses only singles — all first-year students in Tritton have their own room. The building has central air conditioning (unique among first-year halls), all-gender bathrooms by floor, built-in bookshelves and armoires (rather than standalone furniture), and two laundry rooms per floor. Tritton's wide hallways are a deliberate design feature — wider than typical dorm corridors to encourage casual interaction and spontaneous community. The all-gender model and single-room configuration make Tritton one of Haverford's most popular first-year assignments.
