Sayre Park Village is an apartment-style residential complex built in 1998 on the edge of campus, comprising three residential apartment buildings and a fourth multipurpose community building with outdoor recreation facilities. Students live in 3- or 4-person apartments with shared kitchens and bathrooms. The complex has a more residential, neighborhood feel than traditional campus dorms — it is popular with upperclass students who want a quieter, more settled living situation. The outdoor recreation area with sports courts and green space is a big draw, especially in fall and spring. The multipurpose community building serves as a hub for social events and programming within the complex. Sayre is a bit more of a walk to central campus than some other housing options, but many students prefer the privacy and quieter atmosphere it offers.
