About McCormick Hall

McCormick Hall is MIT's only all-women residence hall (open to any student who identifies as a woman), a 1963 building named for Katherine Dexter McCormick (MIT '04) — one of MIT's first women graduates and a pioneering philanthropist. Corridor-style rooms with communal bathrooms, no central air conditioning. McCormick has a strong feminist tradition and a close-knit community culture. Its REX events draw students interested in a supportive, women-centered residential community.
