Lang Hall is part of the Ross residential commons at Middlebury, originally built 1969–1971 and then totally rebuilt 1994–1995. Named for trustee Fred P. Lang (Class of '17), Lang houses juniors and seniors, providing an upperclass perspective within the commons. The renovation produced a modern interior while preserving Lang's integration into the Ross complex — upperclass residents benefit from mentorship connections with first- and second-year students in adjacent Hadley and Kelly Halls.
