Bailey House is Oberlin's French-language and cultural immersion house, part of the Language Houses program. Operating as an OSCA (Oberlin Student Cooperative Association) cooperative, Bailey provides approximately 20–30 students with an environment for French language practice and engagement with Francophone cultures. Residents speak French in common areas and organize cultural programming such as cooking nights, film screenings, and conversation tables. The cooperative model — shared cooking, cleaning, and house administration — keeps housing costs low and builds a strong sense of community among Francophile students at Oberlin.
