About Zechiel House

Zechiel House is Oberlin's Latinx Heritage community, a cultural program house that provides a residential home base for Latinx students and allies at Oberlin College. The house fosters community among Latina/o/x-identified students and those interested in Latinx cultures, histories, and social justice work. Residents organize cultural events, speaker series, and community dinners celebrating Latinx heritage. Like other Oberlin program houses, Zechiel operates within the OSCA cooperative framework, with residents sharing cooking, cleaning, and house management responsibilities. Smaller and more intimate than a traditional residence hall, it is a popular choice for students seeking a culturally grounded residential community.
