Robert Lewis Kahn Hall is part of Oberlin's First Year Residential Experience cluster and is the college's dedicated sustainability-focused residence, housing approximately 145 students who apply to live there and commit to integrating sustainable practices into daily life. The building holds LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, and incorporates features like an interlock system that shuts off heating and cooling when windows are open, high-efficiency washers and dryers, clotheslines in the laundry room, and bins for recycling and composting.
