Frelinghuysen Hall is one of Rutgers's most iconic first-year residence halls on the College Avenue campus, a large traditional corridor-style building housing several hundred students. Named for Frederick Frelinghuysen (class of 1770), it is situated on the historic College Avenue campus near Old Queens and the original colonial-era buildings of Rutgers. Traditional double rooms with communal floor bathrooms. The College Avenue campus is the social and historic heart of Rutgers, home to the student center, Voorhees Mall, and most of the oldest university buildings.
