[Hyde Park — Inside Woodlawn Residential Commons (East wing)] Casner House is one of UChicago's 48 named houses — a 4-year residential community of about 70 students with its own faculty Resident Heads, lounge, dining table at house dinners, and traditions. UChicago students are assigned to a house for their entire 4-year undergraduate career; house affiliation persists in the alumni network.
