Murphy Complex — comprising Murphy Hall and Murphy Annex — is a co-ed residential community in the Academic Oval area known for its distinctive and inviting lounge spaces. Murphy Hall hosts the Art Loft living-learning community for students pursuing visual arts and creative disciplines, as well as the Aviation Science Community for students in one of UMES's signature programs. Murphy Annex is home to the Athletic Living-Learning Community. Both buildings share communal kitchen facilities and laundry. The complex has a strong community identity and a reputation for vibrant programming.
