About Lincoln Tower

Lincoln Tower is one of the four 22-story residence hall towers in the Southwest Residential Area of UMass Amherst. Named for President Abraham Lincoln — who signed the Morrill Land-Grant Act in 1862, the legislation that made UMass possible — the tower provides corridor-style accommodations with communal bathrooms and exceptional views of the campus and surrounding valley. Lincoln Tower houses approximately 550 students and is connected to the Southwest dining complex. The tower's upper floors provide some of the best views of the Holyoke Range and the Pioneer Valley of any residence hall in New England.
