The Commonwealth Honors College Residential Community (CHCRC) is a suite-style residential community at UMass Amherst exclusively for students enrolled in the Commonwealth Honors College — one of the largest honors programs at any public university in the United States. The CHCRC consists of six residential buildings offering suite-style accommodations with semi-private bathrooms and updated amenities, all clustered together to foster a vibrant honors community. Residents enjoy dedicated programming, smaller class sections, research mentorship connections, and the unique culture of a selective honors community within the larger university. The CHCRC is centrally located on campus near the main academic buildings and the library and is a welcoming home for academically distinguished UMass Minutemen throughout their undergraduate years.
