About Christie Hall
Christie Hall is the University of Portland's largest traditional residence hall, situated on the bluff with views of the Willamette River. Named for a former Holy Cross provincial superior, Christie houses primarily first-year students in corridor-style double rooms with communal bathrooms on each floor. The hall has a strong community culture rooted in UP's Catholic and Holy Cross tradition, with a chapel, study rooms, and active social programming. The river views from upper floors are among the best on campus.
