About Freeman Hall

Freeman Hall anchors the East Side corridor complex alongside McAfee and Bates Halls, connected directly to Bates Dining Hall so residents never need to go outside to eat. Named for Wellesley's second president Alice Freeman Palmer, the hall is known for having some of the largest doubles on campus — featuring generous closets, dual dressers, and spacious windows. Freeman also houses five immersive language corridors where residents commit to speaking only the designated language in common spaces.
