About McAfee Hall

McAfee Hall is a stately East Side residence named for Mildred McAfee Horton, Wellesley's seventh president and a pioneering WAVES naval officer in World War II. Its showpiece living room features a 15th-century French fireplace and a Gothic ceiling imported from Austria. Connected to Bates Dining Hall, McAfee houses around 150 students in spacious singles and doubles, with full kitchens, laundry, and a private bathroom available on every floor.
