Malcolm X House (345 High Street) is a community-based living residence at Wesleyan University that protects and uplifts members of the African diaspora. Following the spirit of its namesake and the "Vanguard class" of 1969 that helped establish the community, X House invokes a spirit of solidarity and liberation through group and community engagement. Student organizations including the Black Student Union, Muslim Student Union, Mic Check, and the Student of Color Barbeque meet and organize in X House. Open to any student who wishes to apply and participate in the community's mission. Walk-up building with no elevator, no air conditioning.
