[North Campus (The Hill)] Built in 1914, Plimpton House is a local historic landmark on the Hill, approximately 0.6 miles from main campus. Shares the Hill's well-documented challenges — isolation, maintenance concerns, poor lighting, and difficult winter conditions. The historic building itself has real architectural character, and the isolated Hill community develops unusually strong bonds. Named after George Plimpton, class of 1895.
