About AMS Hall

AMS Hall (Anthony-Mitchell-Schupf) is Colby's clustered suite-style residence hall, completed in 1997. Rooms are organized in suites that maximize privacy while promoting community — smaller clusters of rooms share bathrooms within the suite rather than with an entire floor. The design deliberately bridges the gap between corridor living and full suite independence. AMS is a popular upperclass and mixed-year assignment. The 1997 construction gives it more modern bones than Colby's older buildings, and the suite clustering model creates tighter communities within the hall. Students in AMS tend to know their suite neighbors very well.
