Opened in fall 2017, 2 Boylston Place is Emerson's newest and tallest residence hall at 18 stories, designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects and recognized with an Architecture Masterprize award. It houses 375 upperclassmen in 6- or 8-person suites, with some standalone triple rooms offering private bathrooms. Communal amenities include a large shared kitchen, three lounges, and two laundry facilities. A 14th-floor outdoor terrace hosted the building's opening ceremony in October 2017. LEED-certified with a Boylston Place address on a pedestrian alley just steps from the Boston Common.
