Lamar University is a public research university in Beaumont, Texas, part of the Texas State University System. Enrolling approximately 18,000 students, Lamar offers a strong mix of undergraduate and graduate programs in engineering, business, education, and the arts. About 2,500 students live in Cardinal Village, a unified residential complex of five suite-style halls built between 2001 and 2010. All halls share access to a pool, sand volleyball court, and basketball court.
