Monroe Hall is the newest addition to Lamar University's Cardinal Village complex, completed in 2010 (Phase V), located at 855 Iowa Street. Students live in two-bedroom suites with a shared bathroom (two sinks, separate shower/tub room, separate toilet room). The hall houses The Market convenience store and a Papa John's on the ground floor, the only on-site retail dining in Cardinal Village. Fully furnished. Part of Cardinal Village, a contiguous 2,500-bed residential complex where all five halls share amenities: a pool, sand volleyball court, basketball court, full kitchens on each floor, and free in-unit washers/dryers. Brooks-Shivers Dining Hall is nearby on campus. No dedicated dining hall within the hall itself.
