The Centennial I complex is a cluster of six small residence halls located directly across from Rathbone Dining Hall, making it one of the most conveniently located housing areas on campus. The six buildings — Congdon, Emery, Leavitt, McConn, Smiley, and Thornburg — each house 44 students with 22 on each of two floors. Rooms are doubles, equipped with a desk/bookshelf/chair, bed, mattress, dresser, closet, and a medicine cabinet with mirror. Community bathrooms are shared per floor. The small scale of each building creates an intimate community feel — you will quickly know most of your hallmates by name. The first floor of each hall is a multipurpose common space featuring a TV room, game room, study area, and kitchen. Outside, the complex includes a shared outdoor patio area. The proximity to Rathbone Dining is a major practical advantage — you can roll out of bed and be eating breakfast in under two minutes.
